Product Details

OMICRON UPG 620 Pulse Generator

The UPG 620 generates fast pulses for testing a PD measuring circuit in gas-insulated switchgears (GIS) and power transformers.

This check is strongly recommended for all UHF measurements in line with CIGRE 15/33.03.05. The pulses are fed in via a UHF coupler. The sensitivity of the setup is then determined using the lowest detectable pulse.

The peak voltage can be set from 0.5 V to 60 V. With the extremely fast slope of 200 ps, a bandwidth of up to 2 GHz can be covered. This means that the UPG 620 pulse generator is also well suited for use in many other fields of electronics.
